All instructors are skilled surfers & kiteboarders and have years of ocean experience and competitive surfing & Kitesurfing experience, and have taught at the professional level. They are friendly and competent, and excellent role models in all respects. All are European Lifeguard certified and schooled in water safety. They have extensive training in teaching beginner and advanced surfing techniques. Our Kitebooarding instructors have been formed and accredited by the International Kitesurfing Organization (IKO). At Costa N-Oeste Surf Camp we also maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio to ensure you receive the attention you need.
Every day, our instructors will choose the surf spot according to wave & current conditions and also according to student’s needs. The students will learn about safe handling of equipment, safety on the water, currents & all the necessary knowledge to practice surfing on the safest & most fun manner.
Although we create a fun and enjoyable environment, Costa N-Oeste Surf Camp is focused on safety. We center our safety mission around the following elements:
1. Participant Review/Individualised Program:
We ask that all participants have solid swimming skills before coming to Costa N-Oeste Surf & Kitesurfing School, as surfing & Kitesurfing require some swimming experience. Our program will place participants with an instructor who specializes in teaching at that student's particular skill level.
2. Equipment
Our urf school counts with the support of brands such as NSP, BIC, RIP CURL Gath helmets. Our surf equipment is renewed every session so that you will always use the best and newest equipment durig your learning with us.
