Intermediate (Water starter) Kiteboarding Camp

This Camp is aimed at people who have done a beginner kite course elsewhere and for one reason or another were unable to complete it or feel they would like to recap on the water work to boost their confidence. They know all the theory, are competent beach flyers but just need to cover body dragging and getting on the board. Only for those that have at least completed IKO level 1.

The Water starter course is also for those that have completed IKO level 1 or 2, are fully knowledgeable and competent on all the steps covered on the IKO level 1 or 2, know all the land work, body dragged, tried to water start (un-hooked and hooked) and are finding that you are rolling in the water pre launch and just not getting anywhere, totally hooked on Kite surfing though!

The Water starter gives you on going coaching to improve body positioning, kite and power control, better board and edging technique and aims to get you up on the board every time and kite surfing out and back, maybe downwind but grinning away nevertheless!

You should only apply to this intermediate level course only if you have fully completed all the steps on IKO level 1 or up to IKO level 2.

The Camp includes: Accommodation (shared) for 7 nights in the Surf House (La Santa)/ Surf Complex (Famara) * You also have the option to book your own room or your own apartment at a supplement price. (check information bellow on the accommodation section) Transfer between the surf camp and the beach. Kiteboarding Lessons (theory and practical) for 3 days/week, 3 hours/day. Kites, boards, harness, helmets, life vest, wetsuit etc. Radio-assisted classes Personal video corrections IKO Instructors Kiteboarder workbook by IKO IKO Kiteboarder Card, level certification Low student/teacher ratio (max. 2 persons per instructor) Insurance Information pack with the best beaches, restaurants, surf shops and the top places of the island.
