Although we create a fun and enjoyable environment, CostaNoroeste Lanzarote Surf Camp is focused on safety. We center our safety mission around the following elements:

1. Participant Review/Individualised Program
We ask that all participants have solid swimming skills before coming to Costa N-Oeste Surf School, as surfing require some swimming experience. Our program will place participants with an instructor who specializes in teaching at that student's particular skill level.

2. Equipment
Our surf school in Famara is sponsored by brands such as NSP, BIC, RIP CURL Gath helmets. Our surf equipment is renewed every season, so you will always use the best and newest equipment durig your learning with us.

We provide top-of-the-line surfboards, bodyboards and wetsuits for all participants. We have everything from soft surfboards for beginners to high-performance longboards and shortboards for more experienced surfers. We are a Rip Curl wetsuit Pro center so you'll use the latest material of this leading brand. But feel free to bring your own equipment!

Whether you have never surfed before or whether you just want to improve your skills, our certified surf instructors (FES/ISA) will enable you to reach your goals. Our surf instructors will work with you in small groups (max. 8 students/1 Instructor), teaching beginner to advanced surfing fundamentals, which include water safety, surfing techniques, surf etiquette, proper equipment and wave selection. They will evaluate each student individually and create the groups accordingly.

Beginners learn all about safety and basic surfing techniques before entering the water as well about waves, currents, winds and tides. We will give you a safe and pleasurable beginning to the ultimate sport of surfing.

Intermediate and advanced are separated into another group and taught new techniques and manoeuvres, not having to go through all the beginner theory and practical exercises. It will all about catching green waves and improving and perfecting your surfing style!

Our Surf classes for all levels are held on the beautiful beach of Caleta de Famara on the northwest coast of Lanzarote (natural park and Reserve of the Biosphere). English and Spanish spoken.

We will pick you up from any Hotel or Apartment in Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise or Arrecife area.

• Transfer from any hotel in Puerto del Carmen/Costa Teguise/Arrecife area
  (mininum 2 persons or 1 person x 3 days course)
• Transfer between our surf shop in Famara and the spots in Famara beach
• Surf lessons (theory and practical), 5h/day (10h00>15h00).
• All surf equipment included during classes (Surfboards, wetsuits Lycra, etc)
• Picnic on the beach (Large hot sandwich + energetic bar + juice + water)
• Low student/teacher ratio (max 8/1)
• Certified Surf Instructors (FES/ISA) and as beach life guards.
• Insurance (civil liability)
• English and Spanish spoken
• Lots of Surf, Fun and Tan...

Price: 40€/person/day

You can join our surf school in Famara any day of the week and for any number of days. Surf school closes only Sundays, 25/Dec and 1/Jan.

We offer a fun and effective program for surfing initiation for beginners or improvement for intermediate surfers… In 5 days (25h) we guarantee you success...
All the “tips” given by our instructors will become really helpful to “free surf” in a very near future... Our certified surf instructors guarantee that in 25 hours you’ll be surfing.
You’ll learn all the safety measures necessary to the practice safely this wonderful sport, the sea cycle, tides, currents, rips, weather, bottoms, etc., all the requisites for your near future free surf... All this in maximum safety. Our instructors are also certified beach lifeguards. We do advise you to take the complete 5 days (25h) surf program for maximum results.

Surf with no worries and improve your style!

If you already did a beginner surf course, you surf but not regularly and want to improve your skills or simply want to surf in a very good and safe atmosphere without having to carry your own material or look for suitable waves … this is the level for you …
With this course you will perfect your style and correct the “bad habits” acquired over time, learn how to “duck dive” to get to the outside, manoeuvre correctly, do “bottom turns”, “cut-back” and much more… (depending on your level). The course takes place at the same beaches/schedule as the beginner’s course...
Our certified surf instructors will evaluate your skills and supervise your training, advising or correcting whatever is necessary to improve your surf. You’ll rapidly improve and develop your surf learning new tricks… All this in maximum safety.
